Pupillary Distance

Measure necessary to position correctly your lenses in relation to the center of your pupils, bringing you the best visual comfort

What is it:

Pupillary Distance (PD) is the distance in millimeters between the center of your 2 eyes’ pupils. The typical PD range is between 57 and 65 mm.

How to get it:

1. From your previous prescription if you still have it, and if written on it

2. Ask your Eye Doctor when you visit him/her to get a new refraction

3. Come to Easy Optic Studio in Prague

4. Measure yourself.

How to measure your left PD, right PD and total PD?

Step - 1   Place a simple mm ruler on your nose so that the starting point of the ruler is exactly at your left or right eye pupil. Keep the scale straight

Step - 2   Make Sure to look straight

Step - 3   Stand in front of the mirror or ask one of your friend to read the scale to measure the distance between the pupils.

Step - 4   Repeat this at least three times to be more accurate.

In most of the cases, PD value ranges between 57 mm to 65 mm with most common 63 mm
